FinCEN Files Parliamentary Briefing

The FinCEN Files are leaked documents unveiling $2 trillion worth of financial transactions recently revealed by Buzzfeed and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. The documents detail suspicious transactions reported by the world’s major banks to enforcement agencies in the US and demonstrate how these banks facilitate money laundering. More damagingly, the files place the UK at the heart of the world’s dirty money crisis.

The event will take place virtually on Tuesday 20 October at 16.30. It will be a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the investigative journalists behind these ground-breaking leaks and provide a chance to hear how parliamentarians think the UK should respond.

Please get in touch with the APPG Coordinator – alex.conneelyhughes@parliament.uk – if you are planning to attend and we will share access details.
